Civetta Northwest Face – Dolomites Big Wall

Long and wild climbs through the most imposing wall of the Dolomites – Solleder, Aste-Susatti, Andrich-Fae and Philipp-Flamm

There are those walls that fascinate you the moment you first lay eyes on them or marvel at them in a book. The Civetta Northwest Face is undoubtedly one of them: a steep north face up to 1,200 meters high, towering far above Lake Alleghe. Alpine history was written here—not just for the Dolomites, but far beyond. With the first ascent of the Solleder-Lettenbauer in 1925, the UIAA grade VI was touched for the first time—a milestone in the history of alpine climbing that remains of great significance today.

In addition to the long and adventurous Solleder, there are two "smaller brothers" in the left part of the wall that are ideal for a first encounter with the Nordovest. For those who wish to climb straight through the center of the wall, the legendary Philipp-Flamm is a compelling choice.

After several ascents of the Nordovest, some of our mountain guides feel right at home in this unique atmosphere and would be delighted to accompany you on your personal dream tour.
