The Sella Towers are undoubtedly among the most famous and popular climbing areas in the Dolomites. Easily accessible from the Sella Pass, they offer a nearly endless number of routes spread across the four towers. From spring to late autumn, climbers can find routes facing every exposition, varying in length and difficulty. The spectrum ranges from tours with a distinct alpine character to well-protected pleasure climbs.

Program:

1st Sella Tower: Sunny classics on the lowest of the four towers.

  • Trenker Route (IV-V): First climbed in 1913 by the Val Gardena pioneer and mountain guide Luis Trenker.
  • Via dei Camini (Grade III-IV): Ideal for your first climbing experience and climbing courses.
  • Delenda Carthago: A modern, well-protected classic (Grade VII) by Galvagni, 2002.

2nd Sella Tower: South-facing classic routes, perfect for combining with the 1st Tower. For warm summer days, the North Face offers world-class wall climbing on compact rock with superb pockets.

  • Kostner Corner (IV): A perfect dihedral, ideal as an "encore" after the 1st Sella Tower.
  • Glück (IV+): A beautiful corner by Ferdinand Glück and Matteo Demetz, 1929.
  • Kasnapoff (IV+): By Anton Zelger and Countess Kasnapoff in 1913.
  • Messner (VI-): A masterpiece by Reinhold and Günther Messner (1968); dreamy slab climbing on the finest Dolomite rock.
  • Fatamorgana (VII): A visionary route climbed "clean" by Hanspeter Eisendle and Hans Kammerlander in 1982.

3rd Sella Tower: A beautiful rock needle with its distinctive circular ledge.

  • Jahn (III-IV): A fantastic finish to a traverse of the three Sella Towers, by Gustav Jahn, 1918.
  • Vinatzer (VI-): A popular climb by Battista Vinatzer and Vinzenz Peristi from 1936.
  • L Cianton (VII): By Ivo Rabanser and Stefan Comploi, 2001.

4th Sella Tower: First-class climbing on the steepest of the Sella Towers.

  • Glück (V+): Steep wall climbing by the talented Val Gardena climber Ferdinand Glück.
  • Malsiner/Moroder (VI+): Dreamy climbing on steep, grippy rock by Vinzens Malsiner and Ludwig Moroder, 1961.
