The Grande Fermeda (2,873 m), known as Gran Fermeda in Ladin, is the highest peak among the striking rock needles located between the Seceda alpine pastures and the Forcella Mezdì. The summit towers majestically over the Villnöss Valley, offering mountaineers a particularly impressive summit experience in the heart of the Dolomites.
The tour to the Grande Fermeda leads through the untouched nature of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. The journey begins across gentle alpine meadows above Val Gardena before immersing you in the wild, rugged world of the rock spires. The normal route ascends via the south face, offering varied and enjoyable climbing up to Grade III+. You are often alone on this route, allowing you to fully enjoy the silence and pristine character of this special corner of the Dolomites.
Let a mountain guide from the Catores Alpine School accompany you and experience the fascinating mountain world of the Odle Peaks in all its natural beauty.
