The mountains of Val Gardena, our local peaks, offer the ideal conditions for a climbing holiday in the Dolomites. Our base at the Sella Pass opens up numerous climbing opportunities that can be reached comfortably and entirely without a car. In the Sassolungo and Sella groups, a wide selection of routes in moderate grades awaits—ranging from short pleasure climbs to long, alpine classics.
Short approaches, compact rock and cozy accommodation directly on the pass form the perfect combination for an enjoyable alpine climbing week in the heart of the Dolomites. We plan the individual climbing days flexibly according to your wishes and preferences, allowing us to discover new summits and impressive faces day after day. Our local mountain guides are perfectly at home around the Sella Pass and in addition to the famous classics, they also know several lesser-known climbing highlights.
Day 1: Arrival and meeting with the Catores mountain guide in the evening at the accommodation for a brief briefing on the climbing week.
Day 2: Introductory tour or sport climbing to get to know each other.
Day 3: Climbing tours on the Sella Towers or in the Sassolungo Group.
Day 4: Free "rest day" without a mountain guide – an opportunity to explore the area on a hike or enjoy a relaxed visit to Val Gardena.
Days 5–6: Alpine climbing tours of your choice around the Sella Pass; departure on the evening of Day 6 or optionally with an additional overnight stay.
The mountain guide will stay at home in the valley after each climbing day and will pick you up from your accommodation in the morning.
