This course focuses on deepening your knowledge across all aspects of ski touring. Together, we will discuss the questions and scenarios that have come up during your numerous backcountry trips. You will learn the latest insights into avalanche risk assessment and get expert tips and tricks for using mapping apps and slope angle shading layers to aid your navigation. We will also focus on decision-making tools that go beyond the classic reduction method, as well as perfecting your track-setting in the backcountry. Our goal is to understand the snowpack and its processes throughout the winter so we can make sound, informed decisions.
