Five days around and on the Tödi

Steep rock walls and rugged glaciers characterize the highest mountain in the Glarus Alps.
Its ascent and its surrounding area await you with some extremely interesting ski tours.
A highlight is certainly the summit panorama from the Tödi, reaching from the Eastern Alps to the Mont Blanc.
Four unforgettable ski touring days for tourers with a good skiing technique.


Day 1:
transfer to Urnerboder in the Garus Alps ( a 5h car ride)

Day 2:
Cable car ride to the Fistenpass and ascent to the Gamsfairenstock at 2972m, then descent to the Fridolin Hut at 900 meters.

Day 3:
Ascent to the Tödi (3614 m), the hughest mountain in the Glarus Alps. Descent to Disentis at 1200 meters.

Day 4: 
With lifts to Piz Aut and further to the Oberalpstock (3327m) or,if you prefer, after crossing of a small ridge, about 100m downhill to Val Gronda de Caverein (1800m).
From there, ascent to Fuorcla Caverein (2844 m) and further to the Planura Hut (2947 m). Altogether about 1100 meters of ascent.

Day 5:
Ascent to the Bocktschingel (3068 m) and beautiful descent to the starting point Urnerboden (1300 m). 100 m ascent and 1770 m descent.
